Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Attempting a do-it-yourself fix on a nest high on the roof is the mistake we hear about most. This checklist covers what to do instead and why it is safer.
The overlooked mistake is not keeping a record; this checklist shows what to note from the tenant’s first message through to the treatment visit and afterwards.
Ringing with only “I think there are wasps somewhere” is the commonest booking mistake; a few specific details make a cavity wall visit quicker and smoother.
It is true that a wasp colony does not last for ever, but the weeks before it winds down are often the busiest and most irritable of the whole year.
Hedges and trees shelter new nests as readily as walls do, so pruning at the right time of year and knowing where to look matters more than clearing last year’s debris.
